A Grand day out on the Avon

A very enjoyable 9 km morning paddle organised and led by Jacqui. Starting at the picturesque Fleet Inn pub at Twyning heading down the lower reaches of the Avon to the historic riverside town of Tewkesbury. The conditions were great, the scenery as English as you could get, backdropped with some lovely summer cloud-scapes.

Having refreshed ourselves with a delicious Bennetts ice cream we practised a few draw strokes under the watchful eye of Claire (you always learn something new on the river!) before returning for a well-earned drink at the Fleet. “A Grand day Out”
