Another great weekend was had by all. When we left Worcestershire it was very hot and sunny and the closer we got to Wales it became more overcast with light rain and much cooler! A little bit of rain won’t deter us from having a good time.
Friday evening when people were arriving the weather was hit and miss. Some rain, some some, some clouds. It did not make for a group gathering, we were hoping that Saturday would be better.
Saturday morning started overcast and we we had breakfast and made out way to the beach about 11am it started to clear. There was some great waves for everyone to have fun and surf on either in a kayak, body board or Sit on Top, a few in the sea. It wasn’t long before most people were out in the sea battling against the waves and having a great time the weather was still a little overcast but no rain.

After a good few hours, we headed back up to the campsite for lunch. Most people that in the sea are quite tired at this point as it was hard work out there. As the tide was going out the waves and sets of waves were changing and it made it interesting to catch the waves.
After we had a snack we went upto the cafe for the obligatory ice cream and coffee.
That evening the weather picked up a little bit and it was a bit warmer . It was great to all be able to sit out all together eating, drinking, chatting and chilling. The barbecue was out and everybody was well fed and watered by the end of the evening. There were 16 of us there and there was some great conversations and story telling from the days surfing as well as previous trips.

Sunday morning the weather was still overcast with lots of fine drizzle rain in the air. Kenny and Dan decided to stay at the campsite and make the most of the waves. Some people headed off home, others drove up to Whiteford Beach for a coffee and cake at a lovely little cafe with amazing views over the salt marshes and the sea. By this time the rain had gone and the blue sky was peeping through the clouds and some sunshine ! ☀️ Perfect timing ready to go for a lovely walk which was guided by Steve and his wife.
