Tryweryn fun!!

A few weeks ago some of us spent the weekend paddling the Tryweryn, of course we all had a great time, enhancing our paddling and developing new skills. Over all there were 8 of us paddling on the Saturday and 4 on the Sunday. The group comprised of: Kenny (Organiser), Pete, Jackie & James, Aimee & James, Ian, and Clive. Chris & Elise joined us on the Saturday and camped with us.

We camped at Ty Isaf Bala Caravan & Camping Site, the usual place of late. and drove to the Tryweryn. On the Saturday we paddled from just above NRA Bridge (See Map) all the way to Bala on the Saturday morning.

Arriving in Bala, coming in just under the road bridge by the car park.

It was, as always a great warm up for the weekend, there are always interesting bits to look for and play on, as well as Bala Mill Falls of course.

After lunch we then heading to the upper, specifically the bit above the old chipper and to have a play there for a while before we headed down to the graveyard and beyond.

We the headed down to do the rest of the river, unfortunately at Ski Slope Aimee went over and had an argument with some rocks. While the rocks won, they always do, she gave the a good run for their money!! Boat recovers and all well we carried on, although she did get a lift from a SUP to cross the river.

Miss Davies Bridge always provides for some great paddling and spectator location, so just watch the videos with commentary.
